Meeting was balled to`,order..-by Mayor Stevenson., the
and roll was called
Commissioners Stevenson Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and
City Attorney Norris responded,
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the following
appraisers re-toorts:
Curbing, guttering and paving Columbia Avenue from Ash Street
to Elm Street;
Curbing, guttering and paving University Place from Baker
Street to Twelfth Street;
Re -paving Ninth Street from Ash Street to North Street;
Re -curbing Ninth Street from Bishop Street to Pine.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and paving
University Place from Baker Street to
Twelfth Street was taken up
and read as follows:

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 9th, 1934.
.eeting w as called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and
ommissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 2nd, 1934, were
�ead and approved as read.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages

On motion of Commissioner Pafford same were approved by
the Board of Commissioners.

Onnation of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
Petitions were received for the placing of a stop sign
at the intersection of Walnut Street and Third Street and at the
intersection of Walnut Street and Second Street. On motion, same were
referred to the City ,tanager.
I A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to and authorizing an application to the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for the grant of
additional funds in connection with Storm Sewer improvements, being
Walnut Street Storm Sewer No. 9-A, P. 'dj. A. Docket No. 2464. it
On motion of Commissioner Peters the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5)
Nays (0) Mayor approved the Resolution and it is numbered 605.
Resolution Number 605 is recorded in full on Pages numbered
274 and 275 of Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A RLsolution relating to and authorizing an application to the
Federal Emergency Administration of t'ublie Works for the grant of
additional funds in connection with the storm sewer improvements, being
Eleventh Street Storm Sewer Number 9-B, P. W. A. Docket Number 3980."
On w tion of Commissioner Spaeth the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5)
Nays: (0) Mayor approved the Resolution and it is numbered 606.
Resolution Number 606 is recorded in full on Pages numbered
j 276 and 277 of Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to and authorizing an application to the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for the grant of
additional funds in connection with the improvements to the Waterworks
Pumping Station, P. 1. A. Docket No. 2739.''

as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follotiaing
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and S-r,aeth (5)
Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the Resolution and it is nlunbered 607.

Commissioner
Spaeth moved that the City Attorney be instructed
to proceed to have the
nuisance abated at 912 Spruce Street. Motion
adopted.

An ordinance
was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from
the funds of the Water Department for the purchase
of a Temporary Note of
the City of Salina."
On motion of
Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and

adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and

the following vote was
had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (5) Nays:
(0) The Tiayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4431.
