Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 25, 1934. 7ieetng was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called i and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey., Pafford, Peters and 11-I'Daeth and City Attorney Norris responded, The minutes of the ReCular !V7_eeting of Juno 18th, 1934, were read and ap:,oro­,ed as read. City Engineers Plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the construction of a sidewalk on the west side of Crawford Avenue from Sherman Street to Hancock Street, filed in the office of the City Clerk June 19th, 1934 , was presented, and on notion of or,=ission- Commissioner Pafford the same was approved by the Board of Commission- ' ers _ids for the construction of the above sidewalk as advertised for received from: Carl I. Erickson, Assaria., Kansas A. Daleen Salina, rians as L. C. Ahart, Salina., ansas. Johnson Bros. Salina, Kansas Pete Ahlstedt, Salina, Kansas. Cormilissioner Pafford moved that contract be awarded toL. C. Ahart as per bid submitted, and that Mayor be authorized to sign contract on behalf of the City for such work; also that City Clerk return certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called anti the following vote was had; !,yes: Stevenson, Tilorey,, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The I-,Iayor approved the ordinance and it is numbere d 4426. ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An . ordinance req uiring the payment of compensation to the City of Salina by any person, firm or corporation selling or dispensinC- 'J gasoline at the Salina Municipal Air ort and providing a penalty P, I for the violation of this ordinance* On motion of Comm-1-ssioner Peters the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called andthefollowing vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, 1,T,.orey$ Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The luayor approved the ordinance and it is n-,mibered 4427.
