zerular meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 18,
1034. I: eetinL_; was called to order by I ayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and S-)aeth and
City 11ttorney Norris responded. Commissioner Morey absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 11th, 1934, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On :Notion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner PTorey absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4422.
The following claims to be paid from Relief Highway Fund
were presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, Cit;7 Clerk, Cash paid out X60.40

Commissioner S~aeth moved that claims be approved by the
Board of Comrissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims from the=Lelief
Highw ay Fund."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll Yjas called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Sraaeth (4) Flays: (0) Commissioner TKorey absent. I'"Iayor approved
the same and it is numbered 4423.
The following claim to be paid from Public L orks Adminis-
tration Docket No. 2928, "Yorce Account Fund." was presented for
payment:

Commissioner Pafford moved that claim be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. hllotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of miscellaneous claims from Public
t'orks Administration Docket No. 2928, "?Force Account Fund."
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; byes: LStevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Llorey absent. Ilayor approved the
ordinance and it is numbered 4424.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "."gin ordinance appro-
nriating certain money from the 'Fireman's Relief Fund for the purchase
of bonds to be held in the Investment Account of such fund."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the follo.T i ng vote v°aas had; Ayes: Stevenson, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth (4) Nays: (0) Comr_iissioner Florey absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is nurlbered 4425.
Commissioner Spaeth moved that the City Engineer file with
the City Clerk plt�.ns and specifications and estimate of cost for the
construction of a sidevialk on the west side of Crawford Avenue from
Sherman Street to Hancock Street. Bids to be received up to and includ-
ing i onlay, June 25th, 1934 at 5:00 P. NI. A.lotion adopted.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages
in the Cit,! of Salina, received as follows:

Commissioner Spaeth moved that application of -. t-L• S]_auLhter

Commissioner Peters moved that application of A. C. Young
be not approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Sign Application No. 120 asking for the erection of a
temporary flat sign on buildinE located at 115 North Santa Fe Avenue
was received from Kinney Shoe Store. On motion of Commissioner
Peters same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading; entitled:
An ordinance requiring the payment of compensation to the City of
Salina by any person, firm or corporation selling or dispensing
Easoline at the Salina Dlunicipal AirRort and providing a penalty
for the violation of this ordinance.'
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Peters the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
