E APRIL 232 1934. i i Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 23rd, 1934. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. rThe minutes of the Regular.Meeting of April 16, 1934, were i read and approved as read. The following claim to be paid from Public Works Administra- tion Docket No. 2928, "Force Account Fund" was presented for payment: I Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Pay Rolls 12-13-14 $1105.43 Commissioner Morey moved that claim be approved by the Board { of Commiss ioners. Motion carried unanimously. I j An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of miscellaneous claims from Public Works Administration Docket No. 2928, "Force Account Fund." On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and ! the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The mayor approved the same and it is num- bered 4395. i Taxicab Policy Number 42666 issued by Central Standard insurance Company, to DeLuxe Cab Company, Operator and Roy Bucheneau j Owner, was presented, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. i I Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages j in the City of Salina, received as follows: Class "B" Retail Malt and Cereal_ Beverage Dealers License E L. E. Keeton Companies, for j Follow the Swallow Coffee Shop, 801 North Santa Fe Avenue. Commissioner Pafford moved that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Sign Application Number 166 received from Planters State Bank, asking permission to change permanent sign on front of building above entrance. On motion of Commissioner Morey application was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion carried. Notice from Commercial :standard Insurance Company of the cancellation of Policies numbered 263369, 263370, 263371, 418945 and 418946 was received. Commissioner Morey moved that same be accepted I by the Board of Commissioners and that new policies be filed on or be- fore April 28th, 1934, to take the place of policies which are cancelled. Motion ,arried. E I Commissioner Peters moved that property owners on Columbia Avenue between Ash Street and Elm Street be requested to connect their premises with water, sewer and gas service connections, within thirty days after the third publication of such notice, on account of paving such street. lJotion carried.
