COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
APRIL 2, 1934.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 2, 1934.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and Peters and City Attor-
ney Norris responded. Commissioner Spaeth absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 26, 1934 and
Regular Meeting of March 31, 1934, were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Peters (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved
the same and it is numbered 4379.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 3 to H. J. Taylor Construc-
tion Company for material furnished and labor performed in the construc-
tion of Storm Sewer No. 9-A, prior to April 2, 1934, under contract
dated October 26, 1933. On motion of Commissioner Pafford same was
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, and Peters
(4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved the
same and -it is numbered 4382.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the funds of the Nater Department for the purchase
of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and Peters
(4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved the
same and it is numbered 4383.
The following claim to be paid from the Relief Highway Fund was
presented for payment:

Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk Cash paid out for labor X200.04
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a certain
claim."

contract dated November 27, 1933. On.motion of Commissioner Peters
same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
A n ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim.'
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, M re -y. Pafford and Peters
(4 ) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. the Mayor approved the
same and it is numbered 4380.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the funds of the Water Department for the pur-
chase of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina."

On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and Peters
(4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved the

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro-
priating and transferring certain money from the Waterworks Department
Fund to the Public Works Administration Docket No. 2739, Contract
Account Fund.'
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Peters (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved
the same and it is numbered 4385. ('
The following claims were presented for payment: j

Commissioner Morey moved the above claims be approved by the
Board of Commissioners and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Peters (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims from the "Public
Works Administration Docket No, 2739, Contract Account Fund."
On motion of Commissioner'Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Peters (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor ap-
proved the same and it is numbered 4386.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the reconstruction of
Waterworks Pumping Station building in the City of Salina, Kansas, and
approving and accepting the work done under said Contract and by Force
Account under the direction of the City Engineer:
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and Peters
(4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Mayor approved the
same and it is numbered 4387.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and regulating the keeping of cattle within the
City limits of the City of Salina, and providing a penalty for the vio-
lation of this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford and
Peters (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. The Magor approved
the same and it is numbered 4388.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
