03-12-1934 Minutes1 1 1 1 1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA* KANSAS. MARCH 12, 1934. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 12, 1934. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 5th, 1934, were read and approved as read. Commissioner Morey moved that the sale of March 2nd, 1934, of Bonds numbered 4-11-16-23-29-34-40-48-54 and 61 in the ariount of $1,000 each, making a total of 010,000.00 at par, accrued interest and cost of printing bonds to Chas. L. Schwartz be approved. Motion carried. The following applications for Taxicab Licenses for the year 19340 with Liability Insurance Policies covering the vehicles described In the applications, were presented for approval, with the Certificates of the License Inspector, showing the approval of the condition of said cabs, and the City Attorney reported that he examined and approved the applications and the insurance policies. Commissioner Pafford moved that said applications be approved and that the following licenses be issued, upon due payment of the license and inspection fees required by ordinance, such licenses to be cancelled if approved insurance liability policies are not at all times kept in force, tow -ti: License No. 1, for Willys, Serial No, 19665, Motor Number 20610, to DeLuxe Cab Company, Operator and W. Application for Pool Hall License for the first six months of 1934, received from Geo. Holzmeister, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages for the first six months of 1934 received as follows: Wholesale Malt & Cereal Beverage License Salina Beverage Company, 110 West Ash Street Class "Be Retail Malt & Cereal Beverage License Harry's Merchant Lunch, 105 S. Santa Fe Avenue i On motion of Commissioner Morey same were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Combination Gas Fitters and Plumbers Bond received from J. A. Stauffer, and on motion of Commissioner Pafford same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Trust Deed, with's. deposit of $125.00 received from Edward H. Kimball, for the Kimball estate, for perpetual care of Lot 33, Block 14, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of,Salina, Kansas. On motion of Commissioner Morey same was accepted by the Board of Commissioners and the City Treasurer was instructed to place the same in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by i Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
