COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 5, 1934.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 5,
1934. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Ste venson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and
Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 29th, 1934
j were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an a ppropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had- Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,
Peters and Spaeth (5) Nays: f0) The Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4360.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of certain
claims."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
' the following vote was hadl Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same an(I itis
numbered 4361.
The following claim was presented for payment:
Hull Electric Company, Material and labor for recon-
struction of pumping station of
the Waterworks System of the
City of Salina $680.40
On motion of Commissioner Morey the claim was approved by the
Board of Commissioners and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford,

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called arkd

and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4362.

the Board of Commissioners and on its final adoption the roll was

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of Payroll Number 8 Public Works Adminis-
tration Docket No. 2928.
On ration of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by s ections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters j
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and it is
numbered 4364.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 1 to H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company for material furnished and labor performed in the
construction of Storm Sewer No. 9-A, prior to February 1, 1934, under
contract dated October 26, 1933. On motion of Commissioner Peters
same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.

On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and

numbered 4365.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation from the funds of the Waterworks Department for the pur-
chase of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters
and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the ordinance and it is j
numbered 4366.

appropriation for the payment of a certain claim from the Public Works

A Resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the maintenance of Kansas State Project No. 40S-16-NRM 374F."

1 On ration of Commissioner Pafford the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5)
{ Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the Resolution and it is numbered 600.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 267 of Resolu-
tion Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to speed, erection of signs, etc., on Kansas State Project No.
40S-16-NRM 374F."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the -roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey, Pafford, Peters and Spaeth (5)
Nays: (0) The Mayor approved thg same and it is numbered 601.

tion Book Number 2.

On motion of Commissioner Morey same were approved by the
I Board of Commissioners.
Sigh Application No. 109 asking for the erection of a sign
on front of building located at 232 and 234 North Santa Fe Avenue re-
ceived from the Ford Motor Company. On motion of Commissioner Morey
same was approved by the B oard of Commissioners.
Sign Application No. 110 asking for the erection of a sign
on front of building located at 129 South Santa Fe Avenue received from
Walter Wilhelm (The Smoker). On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Spaeth moved that the City of Salina be authorized
to sell to Geo. Melling Bond Number 22 in the amount of $1,000.00 and
Bond No. 64 in the amount of $500.00 at par and accrued interest. Mo-
tion carried.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
