Regular meeting ing of the Board of Commissioners December 23,
1935. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface
i and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jackson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 16, 1935"
were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and fixing the salaries and wages of certain
officers and employees of the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote wTs had: Ayes: Peters, Mitchell, Morgenstern
and Surface (4) Nays: 0) Commissioner Jackson absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance aSd it is numbered 4595.
Application for taxicab drivers license was received from
Warren T. Fitch, and on motion of Commissioner Surface same was ap-
proved by the Board of Commissioners.

Trust Deed, with a deposit of $154.84 for perpetual care j
of Lot 8, in Block 15, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas,
was received from Mrs. J. H. Deeble. Commissioner Mitchell
j moved that same be accepted by the Board of Commissioners and that
the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum
Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of
the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street i
light in the 600 block
on South Third Street. Same was referred
to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned to meet in regular session Friday, December 27, 1935 j
at 1:30 P. M.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December
27, 1935. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll
was called and Commissioners Pete rs, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jack-
son absent.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and providing for the carrying of life in-
surance on and the purchase of life insurance policies for members
of the Salina Fire Department and for the paMnt of premiums on
such policies out of the funds of the Firemen s Relief Association
and for the disposition of the proceeds of such policies,"
On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
