SALINA, KANSAS.
DECEMBER 2, 1935.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 2,
1935. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll Was called
and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 25, 1935,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."

On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
! the following vote was had; Aygs• Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgen-
stern and Surface (5) Nays: `Of Mayor approved the ordinance and

The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund was
presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor $185.00
Commissioner Surface moved that same be approved by the Board
of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropria tion from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a

certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes• Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,

Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4587.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that certain tracts of land which adjoin the

present limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, be added to, taken into
and made parts of the City of Salina; extending the limits of said
{
city to include said added lands; defining the corporate limits of said
I
City as extended; and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances
In conflict with this ordinance."

On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Aygs• Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgen-
stern and Surface (5) Nays: Oj Mayor approved the ordinance and
it is numbered 4588.
Commissioner Surface moved that the Mayor and City Manager be

instructed to send the following telegram to Mr. Glenn Martin:

so the City Commissioners, in regular session,
voted unanimously to instruct the Mayor and
City Manager to send you this telegram of
heartiest congratulations and to have the
City Clerk spread a copy of the same on the

j permanent records of the City.

Commissioner Surface moved that the City Clerk be directed to
publish notice in the Salina Journal, the official City paper,
that the City will place on sale for cash at not less than par
and accrued interest from the date of bonds to date of delivery,
at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall at Salina, Kansas,
on Monday, December 9, 1935 at 4:30 Pe Me Refunding Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas in the aggregate amount of §72,000e00 dated
January lst, 1936,
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
