COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SAUNA, KANSAS, j
NOVEMBER 18, 1935,
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 18,
1935• Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll Was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface and City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 11, 1935
were read and approved as read.

An ordinance Was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern the ordinance was
i read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
j called and the following vote was had; Ayes Peters, Jackson, Mit-
chell, Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nags: t0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is numbered 4584.

The following claims to be paid from Relief Highway Fand
were presented for payment:
Chas. Be Banker, City Clerk Cash paid out for labor $223.40
Putnam Sand & Building Co. Sand 37.94
Utt Lumber Company Cement 30 2S
f291.59
Commissioner Surface moved that claims be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an ap ropria tiRn from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of
certafn claims.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; AyM Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: t0j Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4585.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A Resolution approving a certain Amendatory Grant Agreement between
the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, and the United States of
America relating to P. W. A. Docket No. 3980, and authorizing the
execution of said contract by the Magor and City Clerk."
On motion of Commissioner Surface same Was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating; to the construction of certain sidewalks in the
City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell same was referred to the
Board of Commaissioners.
Application for taxicab drivers license received from:
Wendell Allen LaCoe,
Wm, J. Miller
John Howell.
Commissioner Mitchell moved that same be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages
in the City of Salina for the balance of 1935 received from:
RETAIL CLASS "Ae MALT & CEREAL BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE

On motion same was referred to the Chief of Police for
w investigation.
Commissioner Surface moved that taxicab license issued to
Robert M, Akins be cancelled. Motion adopted.
