Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 10, 1935.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was called and
Commissioners Pafford, Peters, Jackson and Mitchell and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioner Surface absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 3, 1935, were
read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the re -paving of Santa Fe Avenue from the north
line of Elm Street to the north right-of-way line of the main line
right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company."
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Pafford, Peters, Jackson and Mitchell (4) Nays: (0)
Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is
numbered 625.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 313 of Resolu-
tion Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the re -curbing of Santa Fe Avenue from a point
130 feet south of the south line of Pine Street to the north right-of-way
line of the main line right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, reters, Jackson and Mitchell (4) Nays:
(0) Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor approved the resolution and
it is numbered 626.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 314 of Resolu-
tion Book Number 2.
The following communication was received from the Atchison,
Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company in reference to acceptance of Ordinance
Number 4506 passed January 29, 1935:
GERTIr'ICnTE OF ACCLPTANUE
THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY
COMPABY does hereby accept and approve Ordinance
No. 4506 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which was
duly passed on January 29, 1935, by the Board of
Commissioners of said city and which was duly
published in The Salina Journal, the official
City paper of said city, on February 2, 1935,
and all of the conditions and provisions of said
Ordinance; this certificate of acceptance and
approval to be filed in the office of the City
Clerk of said city and published in the official
city paper of said city in accordance with the
provisions of Section 4 of said Ordinance.
IN WITNESS WHEhEOF, the said THE ATCHISON,
TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY UOMPANY, has caused
this instrument to be executed by its duly author-
ized officers and its corporate seal hereunto
affixed this first day of May 1935.
