Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 27, 1935. j Meeting was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was called and Commissioners Pafford, Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Surface i and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 20, 19,35 were read and approved as read. Bids for Refreshment Privilege in Oakdale Park during the I Swimming Pool season of 1935 received as follows: J A. B. aloud - - - - - - - - - - -$127.50 Kenneth Hancock - - - - - - - - - 126.00 Harry L. Stevens- - - - - - - - - 100.00 Mrs. Louis Hutchins, - - - - - - 45.00 per month plus 10% Bob Furtick & Archie Hazen, Jr. - 135.50 Mrs. Bernard Collister, - - - - - 105.00 Commissioner Peters moved that bid of Bob Furtick and Archie Hazen, Jr., be accepted. Sign Application No. 141 asking for the erection of a sign to be erected on topy of building located at 123 North Fifth Street, occupied by Goodrich Tire & Rubber Company, was received and on motion of Commissioner Jackson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Sign Application No. 142 asking for the erection of a sign to be erected on front of building located at 128 North Santa Fe Avenue occupied by Geo. Sawaya, Vacuum Cleaner Exchange, was received and on motion of Commissioner Mitchell same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Trust Deed with a deposit of 475.00, was received from C. T. Hamilton, Executor, for perpetualcare of South 1/2 of Lot 52, Block "A". owned by Mary A. Sanders,, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas, Commissioner Peters moved that same be approved by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An � ordinance providing for and authorizing the purchase of certain real estate upon which to construct an elevated storage tank for the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll wa s called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, reters, Jackson, Mit- chell and Surface (5) Nays: k01 Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4542. On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners adjourned. i City Clerk
