Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 13, 1935.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was called and
Commissioners Pafford, Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Surface and City
Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 6th, 1935 were read
j and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance providing
for and authorizing the appropriation of a certain amount from the Paving
Fund to the Waterworks Fund, to take up and pay a part of a certain Tem-
porary Note issued in payment of certain paving work, and which was pur-
chased by and held in the Sinking Fund or Investment Account of the
Waterworks Department."

On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, Peters, Jackson, Mitchell
and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4539.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages

On motion of Commissioner Surface same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street
light at Highland Circle and Beloit Avenue. Same was referred to the
City Manager.
A report was received from the City Planning Commission in
reference to the rezoning of Lots 51-52 and 53 on Front Street, Original
Town of Salina, as follows:

I am returning herewith the petition asking for the rezoning
of Lots 51, 52, 53 on Front Street, Original Town of Salina from "B"
Residential zone to "C" Commercial zone. The Planning Board voted to
recommend the rezoning of above lots according to the petition as
filed and the wishes of the property involved.
Another motion was made, seconded and a arried, that lots
numbered 1090 111, 113, 115, 93, 959 97, 99, 1019 103, 105, 107, Origin-
al Plat Salina facing Third Street and Lots 106, 108, 1109 112, Original
Plat Salina, facing Second Street and Lots 54, 55, Original Plat Salina,
facing Front Street be recommended changed from "B" residential zone to
"C" Commercia 1 zone.

Motion made that thirty days notice of hearing be given by
the City Clerk on said petition.
A petition was presented asking for the laying of a water main
on Seventh Street from Pacific to Otis, Same was ordered filed.
Commissioner Surface moved that Beer License heretofore issued
to Harned and Appleton be revoked. Motion carried.
