Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 15,
1935. Meeting; was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was
called and Commissioners Pafford, Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Sur-
face and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 8, 1935 were read
and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, reters, Jackson, Mitchell
and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4531.
The following claims to be paid from the Relief HiLhway Fund
were presented for payment:
The Texas Company, Paving Repairs $263.73
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk Cash paid out for labor 103.20
Putnam Sand �. Building; Co., Sand 51.37
'418.30
On motion of Commissioner Surface the above claims were approved
by the Board of Commissioners.

claims .'0
On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, Peters, Jackson, Mitchell
and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4532.

Commissioner Surface moved that application from Ben Hill and
Cafe Casa Bonita be gratned; and that application from C. D. Lammon
% be held for further investigation. Motion adopted.
Mayor Pafford submitted the name of Ralph L. Hollenback as a
member of the Memorial Hall Board of Salina, Kansas, for a term of
three years from April 1st, 1935. On motion of Commissioner Surface
appointment was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners.
The following communication, in reference to acceptance of
Ordinance No. 4506 of the City of Salina, was received from the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Company:
The Missouri Pacific Railroad Company does hereby accept and
approve Ordinance No. 4506 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which was
duly passed on January 29, 1935, by the Board of Commissioners of said
City and which was duly published in The Salina Journal, the official
City paper of said city, on February 2, 1935, and all of the conditions
and provisions of said Ordinance, this certificate of acceptance and
approval to be filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City and
published in the official city paper of said city in accordance with
the provisions of Section 4 of said Ordinance.
IN WITNESS V-aH. RhOF the said Missouri Pacific Railroad Company
has caused this instrument to be executed by its duly authorized officers
and its corporate seal hereunto affixed this 4th day of April 119'35.
