Ivieeting was called to order by Mayor Pafford, the roll was called and Commissioners Pafford, Peters and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Spaeth and Morey absent. read and hminutes of the Regular Meeting of February 4, 1935 were approved as read. The following report was received from the Board of Public works: Salina, Kansas. February 7, 1935. To the Board of City Commissioners, Salina, Kansas. Gentlemen: At a meeting of the Public Works Advisory Board at 1:15 P.ivi. Thursday, February 7, 1935, the storm sewer project to be constructed as a branch of the Pine Street storm sewer and to care for drainage north of Pine Street and west on North Street was considered. On motion of Mr. Hageman and seconded by Mr. Dodds this Project was approved. Yours truly, Franklin A. Adams Secretary. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the construction of a certain storm sewer in the City of Salina, Kansas to be designated as Storm Sewer No. 17-B, and providing for the letting of a contract for such construction and for the payment of the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll w as called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, Peters and Surface (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Spaeth and Morey absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4510. City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the construction.. Of Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 171. On motion of Commissioner Surface same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: rtA ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitaru Sewer No. 171 and relat- ing to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Surface th the Board of Commissioners, e ordinance was referred to Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1935 received as follows: D. L. Jolley, Harold A. Warner, Earl Schultz. Commissioner Surface moved that applications be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages in the City of Salina for the first half of 1935 received from: VUHOLESALE BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE Salina Coca Cola Bottling Company, 615 Bishop Street. RETAIL CLASS "B" BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE Hazel Funk, (Keg Inn) 720 North Santa Fe Avenue i Commissioner Surface moved that applications be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissions adjourned to meet in regular session February 14, 1935 at 1:00 P. City Clerk i
