Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 4, 1935. 14.eetinE was called to order by Mayor Pafford., the roll was called and Commissioners Pafford, Morey, Peters and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Spaeth absent. The minutes of the Regular meeting of January 29, 1935, were read and approved as read. An ordinance w as introduced entitled: 11±,-,,�n ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of COMnlissioner Tlr:iorey the ordinance was read and - adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was c' the following; vote alled and had; was Ayes: Pafford 11elorey, Peters and Sur- face (4) Kays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth 2 absent. 1,;Iayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4507. The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund was presented for payment: Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk., Cash paid out for labor $122.80 Commissioner 1liorey moved that claim be apprI-)ved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance makinL,, an appropriation from the Relief highway Fund for the payment of a certai claim." On motion of Commissioner Peters the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes* Pafford, Morey, Peters and sur- face (4) Kays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance providing for and authorizing; the appropriation of a certain amount from the raving Fund to the Waterworks Fund to take up and pay a certain Temporary Note issued in payment of certain pavinE work., and which was purchased by and held in the Sinking Fund or Investment Account of the atervrorks Department." On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following, vote was had; Ayes: Pafford, IvIorey, 'eters and Surface (4) Kays: (0) Commissioner Spaeth absent. 1,ayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4509. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the construction of a certain Storm Sewer in the City of Salina to 'i -e designated as S-torm. Sewer Number 17-B, and providing, for the leeting of a contract for such construction and for the payment of the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Morey sane was referred to the Board of Commissioners, A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of Lots 17 and 19 Block 46, and Lotsland 3, Block 63,, Military Addition to Salina., K-ansas, from "All Residential Zone to "C" Conr.,iercial zone. Same was referred to the City Planning; Commission. A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of Lot 1, Block 4, Southern Heights Addition from "A" Residence area to Light Industrial area. Same was referred to the City PlanninE Commission. -rnS Commissioner Surface moved that the Bu--ldinE Inspector be authorized to issue a permit to L. J. Ashton for the construction of a building on Lot 1, Block 4 Southern Heights Addition to the City of Salina. Motion adopted. Application for license to operate a taxicab in the City of Salina, z-,ansas received from Joe Pickett. On motion of Comnissioner '-'urface same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Commissioner Surface moved that application for taxicab drivers license for the Tear 1935 which was presented to the Board of Commissioners January"21, 1935, by D. E. Rounkles, be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Co=issioner Surface the Board of Commission- ers adjourned. City Clerk ��
