COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS.. REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 24, 1936.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 24,
i 1936. Meeting was called to order byMayor Peters the roll was called
and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 17, 1936 were
read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
1 Resolution granting an extension of time for the completion of a
certain contract with Johnson Brost, Construction Company.`

I On motion of Commissioner Surface the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes* Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface (5) Nays: t0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is
numbered 653.

Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages in
the City of Salina received as follows:
WHOLESALE MALT & CEREAL BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE

On motion of Commissioner Jackson application was approved
by the Board of Commissioners• Carried.
RETAIL CLASS "BO MALT & CEREAL BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE
Fred Clar (Club Royal) 115 :South Santa Fe Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson application was approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
Application for taxicab license for the year 1936, with insurance
policies issued by Central Mutual Auto Insurance Company of Detroit,
Michigan, received from:

ante policies were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
City Clerk was instructed to sign release of cancellation
of Travelers Mutual Casualty Company for taxicab poliolds issued

On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern same were approved
by the Board of Commissioners.
Application for taxicab drivers license received from:
Everett V. Braden
Jack Weaver
On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern same were approved by
the Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of the West
150 feet of Lot 1, Block 16, South Park Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas, from Residence to Commercial. On motion of Commissioner
Surface same was referred to the City Planning Commission.
Commissioner Morgenstern moved that the policy of Central
Surety and Insurance Corporation issued to The Salina Transit Company,
Inc., be approved. Motion adopted.
City Manager recommended the installation of a street light
on West Jewell Avenue. Commissioner Surfacd moved that the City
Manager be authorized to locate said light. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned*
