Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February
72 1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll
was called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern
and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the repaving
of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Elm Street to the north
right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad, and re -curbing and
guttering of Santa Fe Avenue from a point 130 feet south of the
south line of Pine Street to the south line of Lincoln Avenue (except
the railroad crossings) all as provided for and authorized by Ordinance
No. 4554 and 4557 of the City of Salina; for the construction of
railroad crossings on Santa Fe Avenue between the north line of Elm
Street and the north right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad,
all as provided for and authorized by Ordinance No. 4554 of the City
of Salina ; for the paving of Tenth Street from the north line of
Park Street to the south line of Elm Street as provided -for and
authorized by Ordinance No. 4555."
On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Pefiers, Jackson,
Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: (011 Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4614.
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
