COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY.3, 1936.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February
3, 1936. Meeting w as called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 27, 1936
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims.`
On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes- Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4611.
The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund
was presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor $243.20
Commissioner Surface moved that same be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a
certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read
and adoptted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4612.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 2 to Johnson Bros,
Construction Company for concrete foundatioh for steel elevated storage
tank. Commissioner Surface moved that same be approved by the Board
j of Commissioners. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Public Works Administration Docket State
File No. 1031 Account for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read
s and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
{ Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays:y pp
(0) Mayor roved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4613.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to an extension of time for the completion of
a contract for the construction of Job No. 85 Elevated Water Tank."
Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

received as follows:

Commissioner Surface moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Mayor Peters appointed W. S. Heusner and firs. Ruth Lynch
as members of the Board of Directors of Salina rublic Library for a
term of four years from February 1., 1936. On motion of Commission-
er Morgenstern appointments were confirmed by the Board of Commission-
er s .
Mayor Peters appointed Elmer Barr as a member of the
City Planning Commission to fill vacancy created by the resignation
of George Robb. On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern appointment
was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners,
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned to meet in regular session February 6, 1936 at 1:30
P. M.
