01-27-1936 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JANUARY 27, 1936. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 27, 1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was called and Commissioners Pete rs, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 20, 1936 and Regular Meeting of January 21, 1936, were read and approved as read. Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages in the City of Salina, Kansas, received as follows: WHOLESALE MALT & CEREAL BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE Miller Provision & Storage Company, 350 N. Fifth St. Salina Coca Cola Bottling Corporation, 615 Bishop St., J. A. Donmyer, 808 North Santa Fe A venue Ben Hill, 151 North Santa Fe Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Surface the above applications were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Jackson the above applications were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Dotson, 332 North Santa Fe Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern the above applications were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Commissioner Surface moved that the application of W. R. Curry d/b/a Farmers Home at 114 South Fifth Street, presented to the Board of Commissioners January 6, 1936 be granted, subject to tevocation by the Board of Commissioners on complaint of any violation of City ordi- nanoes or of improper conduct of place. Motion carried. Commissioner Surface moved that the application of Walter V. Emmons, d/b/a Station Billiard Hall, presented to the Board of Commis- sioners January 20, 1936 be granted, subject to revocation by the Board of Commissioners on complaint of any violation of City ordinances or of improper conduct of place. Motion carried. Commissioner Surface moved that application of D. B. Smith, presented to %e Board of Commissioners January 6th, 1936, that the action of the Board of Commissioners January 6, 1936 in rejecting his application for Class "B"` Beverage Dealers License be denied, and that no license be issued. Motion carried. A petition was presented asking for the construction of a sidewalk on Lots 1, 2 and 3. Block 5, S)uthern Heights Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Morgenstern moved that same be approved. Commissioner Jackson moved that a light be placed on Clark Street, same to be located by the City Manager.
