COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JANUARY 13, 1936.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 13,
1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Morgenstern
and City Attorney Dorris responded. Commissioner Surface absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 6, 1936, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appropriat-
ing and transferring certain money from the Waterworks Department Fund
to "Public Works Administration Docket State File No. 1031 fund."
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was hadAyes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and
Morgenstern (4) Nays: (Of Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor approved;
the ordinance and it is numbered 4604.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading; entitled: "An
ordinance prohibiting electrical interference with radio reception,
and providing for punishment for the violation thereof.'#
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Morgen-
stern (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4605.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3138 adopted November 23, 1925, as 1
amended, being an ordinance dividing the City of Salina into zones or
districts and regulating and restricting the location of trades, in-
dustries, etc., and the uses of land within each of such zones or dis-
tricts."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote waq had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and
Morgenstern (4) Nays: 0) Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is numbered 4606.
A resolution was introduced entitled* "A Resolution revising
and approvin
Job -No. 85, g an estimate of the project costs of Waterworks Improvements
"
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoptidn the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Mor-
genstern (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor approved
the res6lutionand it is numbered 649.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 359 and 360,
in Resolution Book Number 2.

Commissioner Jackson moved that applications be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Jackson moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Morgenstern moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Mitchell moved that the City Manager be instruct-
ed to have all City licenses paid on or before January 20, 1936,
Combination Gas Fitters and Plumbers Bond received from
Stack Plumbing Company. Commissioner Morgenstern moved that same
be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Notice of Cancellation of Policy No. 19976 issued to
W. Be McMickle, d/b/a DeLuxe Cab Company was received from Travelers
Mutual Casualty Company, effective January 22, 1936. City Clerk was
instructed to notify Mr. McMickle of such cancellation.
