DECEMBER 22, 1952
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 22, 1952• Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 15, 1952;were read and approved
as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tot he curbing, guttering and grading of the East side of Roach Streetfrom
the center line of Ellsworth Avenue to the center line of Jewell Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was approved as read and on
its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the Resolution and
it is Numbered 1368.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 75 Resolution Book Number 5.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution relating to
appropriation of certain land for off-street parking in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was approved as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; ,Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, namsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 1369.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 76 Resolution Buok Number 5.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
issuance of Temporary N tes in the amount of $43,435.88."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was approved as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the followingvote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, Price, hamsey and Wenger (5) Nays: 0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is Numbered 1370.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 77 Resolution BDok Number 5.
An ordinancevas introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the issuance of no fund warrants in an amount not to exceed $27,204.00
to pay for unforeseen expenses in the general operating fund of the City of Salina..
Kansas, as authorized by Order No. 492,ciated December 12, 1952 of the State Commission
of Revenue and Taxation and providing for the payment thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved

the ordinance and it is Numbered 5741•
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making appro-
priation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption Vie roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-622.
Letter presented from City Planning Commission recommending that Lots 2 and 4,
Block 6, specifically excluding Lot 6, Sunnyside Addition be rezoned from Class "A"
to Class "B" Residential.
6mmissioner Price moved to accept recommendation and City Clerk be instructed
to give thirty days notice of such proposed rezoning in the official City paper.
Motion adopted.

Petition presented from Harry Banker for the rezoning of ten acres (Harry
