Meeting was c alled to order by Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 1, 1952 were read and approved as read. Letter, was presented from the City Planning Commission regarding the rezoning of certain property in the 400 Block on So_th Santa 1�'e Avenue. Commissioner Price moved to accept and City Clerk to give thirty day notice in the official City paper. Carried. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of the West side of Ohio Avenue from the center line of Ellsworth Avenue tothe center line of Jewell Avvenue.11 On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey arxd Wenger (5) Nays: ()} Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1364. The above resolution is recorded infull on Page 67 Resolution Baok 5. A resolution was introduced and passed relating to purchase of land for off-street parking. (Sudendorf-Stevenson tract in the 100 HLock on North Fifth S�reet.) On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1365. The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 69 and 70, resolution Book Number 5. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certa,_n lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designatedas Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 293, and pro- viding for the construction of a lateral sanitary Sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer Listrict Number 293, so created , and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5739. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the construction of a pumping station for the purpose of pumping the sewage of Lateral Sewer 293 and extension thereof, into the existing lateral sewer located in Country Club Road, in order to conduct the sewage of Lateral Sewer 293 to a point of outlet, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 5740. Wilson Engineering Company filed Estimate Number 2 in the amount of 08004.85 to Frank Fessler, for repairs at Salina Public Library. Commissioner Price moved to a pprove. Carried. Cemetery Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00 was presented from Marie Crowther for perpetual care of the South 1/2 of Lot 83, Block "A" in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Carried. 410 City Engineer filed the following estimates: Estimate Number 3 in the amount of $36053.49 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Ordinances Numbered 5686 and 5688, (Known as Engineer Job Number 290) Approved by Commis- sioner Price. Carried. Estimate Number 1 in the amount of $7,281.20 to L. W. Rexroad and Son, for curbing and guttering improvements provided for in Ordinance Number 5687, (Known as Job Number 290). Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Carried. Estimate Number 1 in the amount of 14,749.63 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the construction of Ohio Street S orm Sewer, (Known as Job 296).
