• COHAISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS
DECEMBER 1, 1952
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 1, 1952• Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 24, 1952 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of
Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 292, and pro-
viding for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District Number 292 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost
thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said
district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of
• bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 5738•
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: 'tA Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Second Street, on the West side,
from the center line of Wilson Street, 200 feet South from the South line of Wilson
Street, and on the East side, from the center line of Wilson Street, South 350 feet
South from the South line of Wilson Street."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final a doption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 1358.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 57 Resolution Book 5.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of the South side of Ellsworth
Street from the center line of Roach Street to the center line of Ohio Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 1359.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 58, Resolution Book 5.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of the North side of Jewell Avenue

from the center line of Roach Street to the center line of Ohio Avenue."
On motion.of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 1360.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Lewis Avenue from the center line
of Ellsworth Street to the center line of Jewell Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Bar-
cafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolu-
tion and it is Numbered 1361.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing
the issuance of Temporary Note of the City of Salina, Kansas in the sum of $64,954.89
to pay a portion of the cost of certain sewer improvements in the City of Salina to
be designated as ST -11 pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of said work."

On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Bar-
cafer, Cobb, Price, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) kayor approved the reso-
lution and it is Numbered 1362.
