Regular I«eeting of the Board of c=ommissioners July 7, 1)52. L.eeting was called
to order by Layor iarcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer, Cobb, ging
and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner trice absent.
The minutes of the Regular Leeting of June 30, 1)52 and heeting of Board of
Zoning Appeals of June 30, 1952 were ead and approved as read.
Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bid was received for the
construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 284 (Job 289) as follows:
H. J. Taylor Construction Company 31192.95
City Lngi.,E er Is Estimate X1222.00
Bid tabulated by City Engineer.
• Commissioner icing moved that contract be awarded to H. . Taylor Construction
Company as per bid submitted in the amount of �v111.92.95. Lotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contra; t with 1I. J. Taylor Construction Company for the con-
s trizction of certain lateral sanitary sewer in the City of Salina, n-ansas, heretofore
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 281, and providing for the :issuance
of Temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds."
Ordinance was referred tothe Board of Commissiorers.
I�:ayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, parley Rose and C. B. Dodge, Jr., to act as
appraisers in ascertaining the valuation of certain lots and pieces of ground in the
City of L)alina, t.ansas, liable for the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewer

On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance condemn-
ing certain land within the City of Salina, tansas, f or the use of said City in opening
• and extending; of Ohio Street to its intersection with the Forth line of LLrineapolis
Avenue, fixin; a benefit district therefor and providing for the payment of he cost
thereof."
On motion of Commi ssioner Ramsey the ordinance ivas read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Earcafer, Cobb, king and i�amsey (4) mays: (0) Commissioner trice absent. Mayor
approved the ordinaice and it is Numbered 5672.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creat-
ing and defining certain ivai n Sewer District in the City of Salina, designated as
Dain Sewer District DH -A; providing for the construction of Lain Sewer DH -A to serve
said district; providing _L'or tie payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of
special assessments against the property in such distr:-,ct for the payment of such cost,
and for the issuing of bonds tiierefor."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote tivas had; Ayes:

and def:ini_t a certain lateral sanitary sewer distr ct in the City of Salina, i�ansas,
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts D11-1 to DH -32, inclusive, and providing
for the construction of lateral sanitary sewers insaid Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts
D11-1 to Dii-32 inclusive, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof
and for the levying of special assessments against the property insaid district for

appropriation for the payment of certain claims."

approved the ordinance and it is slumbered A-600.

and Mullen, for the construction of Elm Street fridge. Approved by Commis-
