Meeting was called to order by I.ayor 6arcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners i3arcafer., Cobb, King and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Price absent. The minutes of the Regular Iteeting of June 23, 1952 and I:eeting of Zoning I✓c,ard of A_peals for June 23, 1952 were read and approved -as read. Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 278 to 283 inclusive as follows: H. J. Taylor Construction Company X8685.00 u. D. Wi lmoth x8982.00 City Engineer's Estimate -;v9467.25 Commissioner Ramsey moved that contract be awarded to H. J. Taylor Con- • struction Company, as per bid submitted in the amount of ;8685.00; and that check be retured to unsuccessful bidder. L.otion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract w_th H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of aalina, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 278, 279, 28C, 281, 262 and 283, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance of bonds." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Layor appointed J. Larl Wyatt, tIarley Rose and C. 13. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Section 26-101, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1918, and providing or the repeal of the original of said section." Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and City Clerk be instructed to give notice in the official City paper, of Special I'Leet- ing tote held by the Board of Commissioner July 14th, 1972 to act on said reports.
