Regular I,!eeting of the Board of Commissioners June 30, 1952. Meeting was
called to order by I.ayor 6arcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners i3arcafer.,
Cobb, King and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Price absent.
The minutes of the Regular Iteeting of June 23, 1952 and I:eeting of Zoning
I✓c,ard of A_peals for June 23, 1952 were read and approved -as read.
Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for
the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 278 to 283 inclusive as follows:

City Engineer's Estimate -;v9467.25
Commissioner Ramsey moved that contract be awarded to H. J. Taylor Con- •
struction Company, as per bid submitted in the amount of ;8685.00; and that check
be retured to unsuccessful bidder. L.otion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract w_th H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the
construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of aalina, heretofore
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 278, 279, 28C, 281, 262 and 283, and
providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof pending
issuance of bonds." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Layor appointed J. Larl Wyatt, tIarley Rose and C. 13. Dodge, Jr. to act as
appraisers in ascertaining; the valuation of certa__n lots and pieces of land liable
to suecial assessment for t he cost of construction Lateral Sanitary Sewers 278 to 283
inclusive. un motion of Commissioner Cobb appointments confirmed by the
Board of Commissioners. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the amendment of Section 26-101, Revised Ordinances of the City of
Salina, 1918, and providing or the repeal of the original of said section."
On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Bing and Ramsey (4) ays: (0) Commissioner Price
absent. i�,ayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5669.
An ordinance was irrtrodu.;ed for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
regulating parking on a part of a certain street in the City of balina, and provid-
ing a penalty for the violation thereof."
On motion of Comrnissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- •
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, ting and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Price
absent. iv.ayor approved the ordinance and it is Iuurnbered 5670.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and gradin; of Sunrise Drive from the i4orth
side of Republic "venue to the center line of I.Iorningside Drive."
On motion of Coriunissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Aamsey (4) days: l0) Layor approved the resolution
and it is durnbered 1320.

An ordinance was introcdu.ed for first readir- entitled: "An ordinance
creating ands definirig _certain..i,.aj,n Sewer District in the City of oalira., designated
as Iiain Sewer District i)h-A, providing for the construction of „ain Sewer DH -A to
serve said district; providing for the payment of the cost thereof a nd f or the levy-
ing of special assessments against the ,;roperty in such district for the payment of
the cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor." Ordinance was eferred to
the Board of Commissioners.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance cre-
ating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina,
Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts DH -1 to DH -32, inclusive,
and providing for the construction of lateral sanitary sewers in said Lateral Sani-
tary Sewers in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts DH -1 to DH -32 inclusive, so
created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of
special assessments against the property ins aid district for the payment of the cost
of such construction ,_.nd for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."

ing and defining certain intercepting Sewer District in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as intercepting Sewer District "AA"; providing for the construction of
lrrtercepting Sewer "AA" to serve said district, providing for the paying of the cost
thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in such dis-
tr_�ct for the payment of such cost, nd for the issuing of bonds therefor."
Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

the City limits. Ordinance introduced for first reading.

Com;n__ssioner Ramsey moved to accept and authorize City Manager to sign. Carried.
Appraisers reports were filed for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers
Numbered 268 to 2?7 inclusive. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and
City Clerk be instructed to give notice in the official City paper, of Special I'Leet-
ing tote held by the Board of Commissioner July 14th, 1972 to act on said reports.

Recommending that petition to rezone a tract of ground in the 900 Block on
Nest "alnut Street be denied. Commissioner King moved to accept. Carried.
• Recommending that petition filed by C. L. kieaver to install a Baseball Driv-
�ng Range on land frontier on Cloud otreet be rejected. Comaissioner Ramsey
moved to accept. Carried.
Recommending ti -at application filed by Lyle L. xiorgan for uhe closing of an
easement in Block 3, i,orningside Addition be apprrved, subject that a three foot
easement be provided _,nd placed on record. Commissioner Cobb moved to accept.

Recommending that petition filed by N. E. Spradley to rezone Lots 1 to 8 in
Block 1, Eisenhower Addy-U�_on be rezoned from Class "Alt residential to Class "B"
Apartment be approved. Commissioner rang moved to accept and City Clerk give
thirty days notice in the official City paper. motion adopted.
Recommending that petition filed by N. E. Spradley to rezone Block 1, (except
Lots 1,20,4.,;,U,7 and 8) be approved. Commissioner Cobb moved to accept
and City Clerk to give thirty days notice. Iyiotion adopted.
Recommending that petition filed by Felten Truck Line to rezone Lots 16, 18 and
20, !lock 10, Pacific Addition to "F" Light Industrial be approved. Commissioner
Cobb moved to accept and City Clerk give thirty days notice in the official City
