Regular Leeting of the Board of Commissioners June 23, 1952. meeting was
called to order by I>ayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer,
Cobb and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Bing and Price
absent.
The minutes of the Regular ivieeting of June 16, 1)52 were read and approved
as. read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the ame ,dment of Section 11-303 and Section 11-311 of the Revised
Ordin_.nces of the City of Salina, 1)46, and providir:g .for the repeal of the orig-nal
of said sections."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
ar:d on its f`inaldoption the roll was ailed and the following vote was had; Ayes:
• I3arcafer, Cobb and Ramsey (3) gays: (0) Commissioners King and Price absent.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the construction of a pumping station for the purpose of pumping the sewage
of Lateral Sewer 285 and extension thereof, into the existing lateral sewer located
in order to conduct tie sewage of lateral sewer 285 to a point of outlet, and provid-
ing for the payment of tine cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb and Ramsey (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners King and Price
at;secit. Layro approved the ordinance and it is iiumbered 5666.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for and authorizing the issuance of .improvement Bonds of tine City of Salina,
lansas, in tine sum of �44, 034.63 to pay the cost of constructing main sanitary sewers
and certain lateral sanitary sewers and storm sewers in the City of Salina, i ansas,
which bonds shall be (.esignated as Series 6-155."
On ;Motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final a doption the roll was :celled a nd the following vote was had;
Ayes: 3arcafer, Cobb and Ramsey (3) :Jays: (0) Commissioners ping and Price
absent. Layor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5667.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading; entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of
Salina, prescribing the corporate lien is of said city and repealing Section 6 of Ordi-
nance i4humber 5659. "
• On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

viding for the amendment of Section 26-101, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina,

lin ordinance w as introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance regu-
lating parking on a part of a certain street in the City of Salina, and providing a
penalty for the violation thereof." Ordinance w as r eferred t o the Board of Com-
missioners.
City Lnginer filed plans and specifications for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Number 285. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey approved
by the Boara of Commissioners. Carried.
• Cormaissioner Ramsey moved that City Clerk be irn tructed to advertise for
bids for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 284, to be received up to
and including L_onday, July 7th, 1%52, 7:30 o'clock P. I.. Lotion carried.

Petition was presented from Likins-Foster asking the Board of Zoning Appeals
to authorize t; e non-compliance with the side yard requirement for Likins-Foster
rddation to tie City of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Cobb moved that City
Clerk advertise for hearing June 30, 1952. Carried.
Building Application 3579. (Clayton and Leonard Altman) , praying the Board
of Zoning Appeala to aut:iorize the non-compliance with the rear yard requirement
for Lot 11, Block 5, graft !Manor Addition. Commissioner Cobb moved that City
Clerk advertise for hearing June 30, 1952. Carried.

APpeals grant special >ermission under such conditions as the Board may impose, to
cha.ige plans and specifications of tourist cabins to be constructed on Lots 1 to 8
inclusive in Block 2, and Lot 51 Block 1, Chicago Addition.
Letter presented f rom City Planning Commission recorunending that plans and
specifications be approved. Commissioner Ramsey moved that City Clerk adver-
tise for hearing June 30, 1952. Carried.
Building Application NumiDer 3578 presented and referred to City Planning
Commission.
