JUNE 16, 1952 On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: 3areafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) 14ayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5662. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for the amending of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District IYIap therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the city and Drescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final aloption the roll was c alled and the following vote was had; Ayes. Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Gays: (0) iiayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5663. An ordina_.ce was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creat- ing and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 285, and providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District :1umi:er 285, so created, and providing forthe payment of the cost thereof and f or the levying of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of he cos' of such construction and fort he issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." • On m otion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and a dopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was c alled and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) hays: (0) Layor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5664. Ordinance was referred t o the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the construction of a pumping station for the purpose of pumping the sewage of Lateral Sewer 285 and extension thereof, into the eisting lateral sewer located in order to conduct the sewage of Lateral Sevier 285 to apoint of outlet, and providing for tie pament of the cost thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Com- missioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for -he inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of • Selina, prescribing the corporate limits of s aid city and repealing Section 6 of Ordinance Number 5659." Ordinance was referred tot he Board of �'ommissioners. Regular I;eeting of the Board of Commissioners June 16, 1952. Meeting was called to order by I.ayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular L:eeting of June 9, 1952 wereread and approved as read. City Engineer filed plans and specifications for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer dumber 284. On motion of Commissioner Price same were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried. Commissioner Ding moved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for the contruction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 278 to 263 inclusive , to be received up to and including I.Iond. , June 30th, 1952 at 7:30 0 clock P. 11". Carried. • An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati- fying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construjtion Company for the construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in the City of Sa lina, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 276 and 277, and providing for the ssuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." Petition was referred to the Uity Planning Commission. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of Temporary N tes of the i,'i.ty of Salina, in the sum of $27,742.92, to pay a portion of the cost of improving certain streets in the City of Salina to be designated as PT -8 pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of said y:ork. It On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) IJays: (0) Mlayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1318. The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 388 to 390, both inclusive, Resolution Ibok Number 4. A resolution was introdu,;ed and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of Temporary dotes of the City of Sal ina, in the sum of 9`13,545.94, to pay a portion of the cost of improving certain streets in the City of Salina tone designated as PT-$ pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of s aid work." On motion of Commissioner Price the resolut on was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the reso- lution and it is Numbered 1319• The above resolut on is recorded in full on Wages 391 to 393, both inclusive, Resolution Book Number 4. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for and auti.orizing the issuance of Iiapro%,ement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of 34.4,034.63, to pay the cost of constructing main sanitary sewers and certain lateral sanitary sewers and storm sewers in the City of Salina, Kansas, which bonds shall be designated as Series 5-155•" Ordinance was re- ferred to the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer filed Survey provided for in Resolution Number 1317. An ordinance was introduced for first reading providing for condemnation of certain land for sewer extension.
