The minutesof the Regular Ivieeting of Iia, 12, 1952 wereread and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apport_,_orzi.ng and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in yr Vity of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing later- al sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts numbered 265, 266 and 267, arid relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance wasread and adopted by sec- tions and on its final aoption ti,e roll was called and the following vote was had; • Ayes: Darcaier, Cobb, tiini;, rrlce and i6amsey (5) mays: (0) Lia or approved the ordinance and it is slumbered 5651. An ordinance was introdu.:ed for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providingfor the inclusion of certain land within tie corporate limits of the City of Salina, prescribing the orporate limits of said city and repealing Section 7 of Ordinance Number 5631." On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its finaladoption the roll aas called and the following; vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, ging, Price and namsey (5) days: (0) ivayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5655• A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving with concrete of Illinois Street from the west line of Sherman Street to tr.e east line of Custer Street." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final-doption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and.Hamsey (5) Nays: (0) h1ayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1312. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 382, Resolution Hook Number 4. Letter was read from the idssouri r'acific Railroad Company relating to petition filed February 9, 1)52 for rezoning their property between Crawford and Republic to "F" Light industrial. Commissioner King moved that peti- tion be denied. Carried. Petition from Lirs. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating; to the paving with concrete., the alley between Third Street and Fourth Street from the North line of Walnut Street, 400 feet more or less to the Smoky Hill River." Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first read -ng entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 284 and provid- ing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 281, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
