Larry Gutsch appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding rezoning of Missouri Pacific Railroad propert, between Crawford Avenue and Republic Avenue for the location of a temporary mix plant for Likens and Fbster. Instructed to present petition at next meeting. The following petitions w ere presented and r eferred to the City Manager: • Frotesting against the paving of Sunrise Drive from Kinvi n to Jewell. Sanitary Sewer in Block 9, Morningside Addition. Paving alley between Third and Fourth from Vualnut Street, north to Smoky Hill River. Curbing and guttering Ninth Street from Cloud Avenue south 770 feet tothe south City limits. Curbing and gutterin; Sunrise Drive from Republic Avenue to Morningside Drive. A petition was filed by Mrs. EmmaShuberg for the removal of the obstruction in the center of Ash Sreet between Kansas Avenue and Des Moines. Referred t o petitioner for more in ormation. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to andapportionin and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of 34�.q Kansas:, to pay the cost of constructing lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 265, 266 and 267, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. The minutes of the Regular keeting of iyiay 5, 1952 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 55.9 and the 'Zoning District iaap therein and thereby adopted and providing for-che rezoning of certain property within the city and prescribing t e proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Ivayor approved the • ordinance and it is Numbered 5650. Commissioner Price moved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids to be received up to and including May 26th, 1952 at 7:30 o'clock P. 11. for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 276 and 277. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving with concrete of Illinois Sreet rom the west line of Sherman Street to ti -e eaili.ne of Custer 4reet."
