Regular iveeting of the Board of Commissioners iway 5, 1952. meeting was
called to order by L!ayor Barcafer,the roll was called and Cormussioners Barcafer,
King and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. CommissiorE rs Cobb and Price
absent.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of April 28, 1952; Special veeting of
April 2 8, 1952 and Board of Zoning Appeals meeting of April 28, 1952 were read and
approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for
the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina, hereto-
fore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 272, 273, 274 and 275, and
providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance
and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ages: Barcafer, ODbb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) ivayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 5647.
An ordinance was introduced for second read -ng entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the equipping of the public library of the City of Salina and providing
for the issuance of bonds to pay the cost thereof and for the issuance of temporary
notes pendino- the issuance and sale of said bonds."
On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) iiayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered 5648.
An ordinance was introcuced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for and regulating the use of certain lands as a trailer camp as authorized
by Section 13, Ordinance Number 5549 and voiding Ordinance Number 5641."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) ivayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 5649.
A resolution was introduced for secondreading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving with concrete of Sunrise Drive from the South line of Ells-
worth Avenue to the North line of Kirwin Avenue."
• On motion of Commissioner ping the resolution was adopted as read and on its
finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) Nays: {0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 1309.

relating to the paving with concrete of Delaware Avenue from the South line of
Gypsum Avenue to the South line of Stack Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner King the resolution was adopted as read and on its
finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, King, trice and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) ivayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 1311.

for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) iiays: (0) !Mayor approved the ordnance
and it is Numbered A-591..
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner "amsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King, Price and Ramsey (5) =gays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered A-592.
No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning from Class "A" Residential
to District "F" Light Industrial, certain property west of the Id ssouri Pacific tracks
and Sc)uth of Crawford Avenue.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Numuer 5549 and the Zoning District
Itap: therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezonin; of certain property
within the city and prescribing proper uses thereof." Ordinance was referred
to the $bird of Commissioners.
A petition was presented for the paving of Illinois Street between Sherman
and Custer. Referred to the City Iuanager.
The following letters presented 2L-om the City Planning Commission:
Recommending that Lots 9 to 20 inclusive, Block 21 Pacific Addition be
rezoned to District "F" . Commissioner King moved that recommendation
be accepted by the Board of Commissioners and teat City Clerk give thirty days notice
in the official City raper. Carried.
Approving preliminary plat of Likins-Foster in Southwest Salina.
Commissioner King moved to accept and approve plat subject to filing of
necessary legal requirements tl;at it complies wlth land platting rules. Carried.
Petition presented protesting against the construction of sidewalks in
Southeast Salina in the vicinity of teusner School. i'etition ordered filed and
referred to City Planning Commission.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
