Ioieeting was called to order by Layor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, 3ar- cafer, Cobb, Tang and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Fleeting of hearth 24, 1952 were read and approved as read. Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the construction of "Lateral Sanitary Sewers 269, 270 and 271 as follows: H. J. Taylor Construction Company .4937.00 0. D. Wilmoth $5144.00 City Engineer's Estimate 45,8d4.00 • Commissioner Price moved that contract be awarded to Ii. J. Taylor Construction Company as per bid submitted in the amount of X4937.00 and that check be returned to unsuccessful bidder. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance rati- fying and confirming a contract with H.J. Taylor Construction Company for the con- struction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina, heretofore desig- nated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 269, 270 and 271, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds." Tinkle and Son appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding height of T. V. Towers and changing ordinance. Referred to City Planning Commis- sion. Buildi_ig Application No. 3468 Building Inspector instructed to issue permit where front entrance is changed observing front setback and side yard require- ments. Motion adopted. ^(m. Wilson appeared for Salina Building Company, regarding ground on West Crawford Avenue, that had been used by Federal Government as a trailer court, asking for permit to operate it as a trailer court. Commissioner King made motion to set hearing date of April 14th, 1952 and also refer to City Planning Commission. Carried. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the curbing, guttering and grading of Roach Street, from the North line of IrcAdams Road to the South line of 14artin Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its • finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) idayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1289. A resolution was iritrodu.;ed for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Garfield Avenue from the North line of Lincoln Avenue to the north line of idorth Street." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, .Darcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) I,fa.yor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1290. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relat_.ng to the paving and grading of Lincoln Avenue from the fast line of Garfield Avenue to the Last line of Arthur -venue . " On motion of Commissioner King the resolution was au -'opted as read and on its finaladoption the roll wascalled and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, harcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) I;iayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 1291. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ardinance creat- ing and defining certain lateral sanitary sewer districts in the City of 'Ialina, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Number 273, 274, 275, and providing for the corgi tru: tion of lateral sanitary sewers insaid Lateral Sanitary Sewer Dis- tricts �urn,)er 273, 274 and 275 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the propert insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
