The minutes of the Regular eeting of Liarch 10, 1952 were read and approved as read. Commissioner Ling moved that above petition be referred to City Planning Board and _et their recommendation on including County Yards and John Deere area for swine zoning. Lotion adopted. Commissioner Bing moved that ie.r. Bayne, be authorized to issue Luilding • i-errnits for the above named area unoer zone requirements after it is zoned. iuiotion adopted. 1.:r. Commissioner Ling moved that ordinance t)e introduced for first readu.ng to vacate easement bet:ieen Lots 2 and 14, Block 9, Lioraingside Addition; and file deed for neer easement on Lots 2 and 14 and part of Lot 3, Block 9, 1.orningside Addition. Lotion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance regulating and prescribing certain lim-Ltations as to the hauling; of trash and garbage and providing penalties for ti.e violation thereof." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll w as called and the follovring vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Cobb absent. 1.1ayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5630. Sanitary Sewers Numbered and Commissioner rarcafer moved that plans and specifications for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers huabered 269, 270 and 271 be a, -proved by the Board of Com - mi ssioners, and that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids to e received up to and including ,.arch 31, 1952. A resolution was introcuced for first reading entitled: A Resolution • relating to the curbing, guttering and i-rading of Delaware Avenue from the South line of Stack Avenue to the center line of Greeley Avenue." A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Sunrise Drive from the South line of Beloit Avenue to the South line of Ellsworth Avenue." Referred to the Board of Com- missioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the paving and grading of Anderson Avenue from the Vest line of Front Street to the tivest line of Third Street." Referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating;, to the curbing, guttering and grading of Anderson I -venue (on the north Side) from a point 200 feet west of the '�dest line of Front Otreet, to the West line of Third Street, ai.d on the South side of knuerson Avenue from the ''Jest line of Front Street to the `Nest line of TIird Street." Referred to he Board of Commission- ers. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creat- ing and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, :arrsas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer L -strict dumber 272 and providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer j n said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District • urr.:;er 272, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levyi:ig of special assessments against Lhe property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." Jrdinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer filed partial Estimate Number 4, in the amount of �8557.00 to H.:. Taylor Construction Company, for curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Ordinances Aurrbered 5572, 5573 and 5571, (Lngineer Job 275). Approved by Commissioner iarcafer. Carried. .Petition was filed by David liagnier for the paving of Garfield between Lincoln and Borth; and paving Lincoln between Garfield and Arthur. Petition referred to City l.anager. Commissioner r�rlce moved that City ivianager be instructed to have installed new street lights on Fifth Street between Ash Street and lalnut Street, as per letter from iansas Power and Light Company for approximate additional cost of elec,ricity of WO -00 per year.
