City Engineer filed plans and specifications for sidewalks in southeast part of Salina, ;,'ansas. Referred to petitioners for signers. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City and repealing Section k of Ordinance No. 5608." Onmotion of Commissioner 1ling tyle ordinance was read and adopted by sections • and on its finalarioption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ralsey, Larcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) hdayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5625. Yin ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contra t with 0. D . I&lmoth for the construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers --n the City of Salina heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sevier bistrict 268, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) flays: (0) idiayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5626. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati- fying and confirming the contract of Thielen and Mullen Construction Company or the building of a pile trestle bridge at file Elm Street Crossing for the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tionsand on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; dyes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) flays: (0) Layor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5627. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing; for the vacation of certain public alleys in tine City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its finaladoption the roll was alled and the following vote was had; Ayes: • Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Hays: l0) Layor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5628. An ordinance was introduced for second r eal ing entitled: "An ordinance creat- in- and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer districts in the City of Salina, i:ansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Num er 269, 270 and 271 and providing for the construction of lateral sa itary sewers inlaid Lateral Sanitary Sewer i istricts Nuriber 26), 270 and 271 so created, and providing for tiie payment of the cost thereof and for the levyin;, of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is lNumbered 5629. Letter presented f rom City Planning Commission recommending the vacating of alleys in Inocks 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 in Giicago Addi-;ion. Comra.ssioner King moved to accept. Carried. The following petitions were presented and referred to the City Manager: Curb and Gutter Delaware between Stack and Greeley; and Stack between Delaware and 1',Issouri. Curb and gutter Anderson from Front to Zhird (except East 200 feet on iJorth • side of Anderson); paving Anderson from Front to Third and curbing and guttering Third from iind.erson to Nilson. • t'aving Sunrise from Beloit to Eilsworth. Sewer on Anderson from Front to Third. Combination Gas ratters and Plumbers Bond presented f rom Gage Plumbing and heating Company. Approved by Commissioner Cobb. Carried. idlewilde Gardens Plat of Stock 5, 2iite Acres, filed by V4. C. Wyatt, Engineer. Referred to City Planning and 'Zoning Commission. City Lianager reported on the following petitions: 1277 Curb and gutter 'isconsin Avenue $-om Iron Avenue to Gypsum Avenue. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution .relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Wisconsin Avenue from the center line of iron avenue to tie center line of Gypsum Avenue." Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners. 127. Curb and gutter 'West side of Roach from t;cAdams to ,artin. Referred • to petitioner for east side. Jira Vdymore appeared regarding his plat. Advised to make another plat to conform with platting rules. On motion of Commissioner Barcafer the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk • 1
