Regular Ie_eeting of the Hoard of Commissioners February 25, 1952. Leeting
was alled to order by i�iayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey,
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular I«eeting of February 18, 1952 and Canvassing
Board heeting of February 22, 1952 were read and approved as read.
Alex Ldller, represgtiting the Bar Association of Jal ina, Kansas, appeared
before the Board of Commissioners requesting them to consider increasing salary
of Judge of City Court to p300.00 per month.
Commissioner Barcafer moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading
increasing salary of Judge of City Court to $275.00 per month, effective Liarch 1,
1952 when adopted. Carried.
• An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
prescribing the salaries of certain officers of the City of Salina and repealing
Sec. 1-611 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina 1948 as amended by
Ordinance 5575 of said City." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commis-
sionrs.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to ,he paving and grading of Sheridan Street (from the South line of Milson
Street tothe North line of Franklin Street."
On Lotion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted and on its final
adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bar-
cafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) iviayor approved the resolution and it
is iurnbered 1283.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 352 Resolution lbok number 4
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
regulating places where cereal malt beverages may be sold and repealing Section
508 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of aalina, Kansas 1948."
On motion of Commiss-Loner trice the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was c alled and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, King and Price (�) days: Cobb (1) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered 5621.
An cx dinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
amending Sec. 24-1122, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1918, and
repealing the orifi nal of said section so amended."
• On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its. final adoption the roll was called a rid the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, Bing and Price (5) Nays: (0) kayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 5622.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance con-
demning certain land within the city limits of ''alina for the use of s aid city in
the construction of a storm sevrer and conduit." Ordinance was referred to the
Hoard of Commissiomrs.
Petition was prese:Ited from A. R. Wilson to vacate alleys in Blocks 1, 2, 3,
7 and 8, Chicago Addition. Ordinance introduced for first reading and
referred to City Planning Commission.
The following petitions were presented and referred to the City Llanager:
Curb and gutter west side of Roach from McAdams to b.artin.
Seaver to serve Blocks 4, 5 and 6 Kraft ivianor Addition.
Petition for traffic licit at the corner of ninth and Elm.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making
appropration for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
• Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Days: (0) Ivayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered A-581.
On motion of Commissioner Barcafer Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Approved by Commissioner Barcafer. Carried.
