Meeting wascalled to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll wascalled and Commissioners Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner King absent. The minutes of the Regular keeting of February 4) 1952 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain lataral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 268 and providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer insaid Lateral Sanitary Sewer District !dumber 268 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost there- of." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption ti,e roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner King absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5619. Report of Commissioners was filed on appraisal for Storm Sewer Right -of -Way Condem:a tion. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to the issuance of Temporary Note in the amount of 413,140.36." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll wascalled and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb and Price (4) Nays: �O) Commissioner King absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1273. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 312 Resolution Book !dumber 4. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was presented. Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted. Carried. City Engineer filed Partial Estimate Number 1 in the amount of $6,268.32 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Ordinance Number 5599 (known as Job No. 280). Commissioner Price moved that estimate be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried. City Engineer filed Partial Estimate !dumber 3 in theamount of $1.,893-54 to H.J. Taylor Construction Company for curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Ordinances Numbered 5572, 5573 and 5574(known as Job No. 275. Com- . missioner Barcafer moved that estimate be approved by the Board of Commissiore rs. Carried. Wilson and Company, Engineers, filed Estimate Number 5 in the amount of ;2,820.26 to Busboom and Rauh for Airport Building. Commissioner Barcafer moved that estimate be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried. Petition was presented for the paving of Sheridan Street from Wilson Street to Franklin Street. Referred to City Manager. City kanager reported on the following petitions: Curb and gutter Roach from Republic to Ivartin. Curb and gutter Lewis Avenuefrom Republic to b actin. Curb and gutter Pearl Avenuefrom Republic to iartin. Curb and gutter Beatrice Avenue from Republic to Idartin. Curb and gutter west side of Ohio from Republic to Martin. Curb and gutter North side of Republic "'venue from Roach to Ohio and Curb and gutter South side of Republic Avenue from Roach to Lewis. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing tothe curbing, guttering and grading of Roach Street from the center line of Republic Avenue to the center line of Martin Avenue." Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for fLrst reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the regulation of traffic within the.City of Salina, Kansas and providing penalties for the violation thereof."
