Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was c alled and Commissioners Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 28, 1952 and Zoning Board of Appeals Lieeting of January 28, 1952 were read and approved as read. Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bids mre received for house situated on the "Dump Grounds" owned by said City of Salina, Kansas, at inter- section of b. Hoskin's bid in the amount of X453.00 as alternate, and return checks to unsuccessful bidders. Carried. The following letters were presented from the City Planning Commission: Recommending that iiageman Park Addition t'lot Plan of 1 to 20 inclusive, Blocks 1, 2 and 3 be approved as presented, subject to filing of final Plot. Referred to City Manager for checking. Recommending that new addition South of Kraft Manor #1, to be known as Kraft manor ;#2 be brought within the corporate limits of the City of Salina. Also recommending tie approval of Kraft Liaz or #2 Plot as drawn and submitted herewith. Commissioner King moved to approve Plat and authorize the Mayor to sign and introduce'an first reading to include Kraft Ma or Addition 12 within the City limits. Lotionadopted. City Manager reported on petition for sewer construction to serve Block 7, Stack Place. (Lateral Sewer lumber 268) An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, • Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District :dumber 268 and providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer insaid Lateral Sanitary Sewer District .an er 268 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levyingof special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Petition was presented and referred to the City manager for the construction of sidewalks on certain streets in Southeast Salina. Application for Pool Hall License Tor the first half of 1952 was present- ed from A. A. Landurand, 117 South Fifth Street. Commissioner Price moved that ap- plication be approved and license granted. Carried. Contract for Engineering services between the City of Salina, Kansas and Wilson and Company, Engineers, Salina, Kansas, for services to be rendered and the payments agreed to be made for certain Sanitary Sewer Extensions. Commissioner Barcafer moved to accept and City :Aanager be authorized to sign contract. Carried. A. R. (Lon) Wilson appeared with plans and specifications for Tourist Court Cabins to be erected on Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8, Block 2 and Lot 5, BLock 1, Chicago Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner King moved that same be approved. Motion adopted. A resolution was introduced and passed relating to erection of Tourist Court Oabins on Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8, Block 2, and Lot 5, Bock 1, Chicago Addition, • Salina, Kansas (A. R. (Lon)Wilson). On motion of Commissioner King the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was calldd and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) mays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution ■ and it is Numbered 1272. A. A. Leiker and others,appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding off-street parking. A. L. Webb appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding the re- zoning of Missouri Pacific Railroad property near tlie By -Pass. Mrs. Ruth Cobb was appointed as the City's representative on the Salina Community Chest Board. Commissioner Price made motion that City Manager purchase Air Compressor from Jehlert Equipment Company for $3887.05. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
