Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bar- cafer, Cobb, King and Price and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. City Attorney Clark absent. The minutes of the Regular keeting of October 15, 1951; and Board of Zoning Appeals meeting of ictober 15, 1951 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance No. 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the city and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Price and seconded by Commissioner Barcafer the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, King and Price (4) Nays: Mrs. Cobb (1) kayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5591. Pursuant to notice published in the official City paper bids were received for the sale of Improvement Bonds P-153 and P-154 as follows: City National Bank & Trust Company Commerce Trust Company Stern Bros. & Company Barret, Fitch & Company, Inc. and Burke and 11acDonald Lucas, Eisen & Yifaeckerle and Geo. K. Baum Company Halsey, Stuart & Company, Inc. The Small -Milburn Company, Inc. Kansas City, Missouri $10,024.55 Kansas City, Missouri 10,499.07 Kansas City, Missouri 10,584.90 Kansas City, Missouri 10,627.04 Kansas City, Missouri 10,896.68 Chicago, Illinois 10,896.69 Wichita, Kansas 11,159.89 Commissioner King made motion to accept bid of City National Bank and Trust Company, Kansas City, Missouri, it being the lowest interest cost to the City. Total Interest $10,024.55; Total Premium, None ; Net Interest $10,024.55, and that checks be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Motion adopted. Applications for Cereal Malt Beverage License presented as follows: Kiat Augustine, d/b/a Pacific Street Tavern, 122 West Pacific Commissioner King moved that application be approved and license granted. Motionadopted. Eldon N. Boggs, d/b/a Eagle Grill, 104 East Pacific. Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Lois Graham, d/b/a Silver Slipper 236 South Broadway Commissioner Ping moved that application be rejected. Motionadopted. Petition was presented for Sanitary Sewer to serve Block 3, Morningside Addition. Referred to City Manager. Petition presented from Francis J. Gorrell to rezone from "B" to "E" Lots 18 and 20, F.ock 16, Pacific Addition. Referred to City Planning and Zoning Commission. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) Layor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-563. An odinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for t1v payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) iwayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-564. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance regulating parking on a part of a certain street in the City of Salina and providing a penalty for the violation thereof." Referred to petitioner as there is no right-of-way. No. 1221 For sidewalk on East side of Second Street from Prescott Avenue to Orawford Avenue. Referred to petition for more signers as only twenty signed petition and it takes twenty-five property owners in precinct. No. 1222 For sewer to serve Blocks 1, 2 and 7 of Replat of Lots 1 to 15, Garden Home Addition. Ordinance introduced for first reading. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kan- sas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 266 and providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 266, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof". Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bardafer, Cobb, King and Price and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. City Attorney Clark absent. Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers reports for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 260, 261, 262, 263 and 264. No protests. Commissioner Price moved that appraiers reports be approved. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
