Regular keeting of the Board. of Commissioners October 151 1951. keeting was
called to order by payor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey,
Barcafer, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Cobb absent.
The minutes of he Regular L-eeting of October 8, 1951 were ead and approved
as read.
10 persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of Lots 1 and 3, Block 1,
Replat of Beebe's 2nd Addition to Zone "D" Local Business; and
Lots 116, 148, 150 and 152, Fourth Street, Original Town of Salina to District
"F" Light Industrial.
Corwa ssioner 'Ung moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first reading.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance No. 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
D. N. Turner submitted bid of $1700.00 for Audit of 1951 records. Commis-
sioner Price moved that City Manager be authorized to sign contract. Carried.
Petition presented for the construction of a sewer toserve Blocks 1, 2 and 7
Replat of Lots 1 to 15 Garden home Addition. Petition referred to City Buanager.
Petition from Parkview Realty and Building Company to include within City lim-
its from Crawford to nepublic, between By -Pass and kissouri. Pacific Railroad, except
150 feet owned by 1+issouri Pacific Railroad. Referred to City Planning Commission,
also recommend they consider the same 165 feet west of By -Pass.
Commissioner Price moved that City Clerk advertise for bids for the construc-
tion of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 265, bids to be received up to and including
;,ionday, October 29, 1951 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. Carried.
City Attorney reported on bids of Abstract Company for Title checking of
property on Storm Sewer project, southeast of City, X10.00 each, and $8.50 where
claim is same. He thought this too high. Commissioner Price moved to reject
and City Attorney check into the matter further. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Barcafer the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
