Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 8, 1951. meeting was
called to order by %iayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Bar-
cafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 1, 1951 were ead and approved
as read.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
the issuance of Temporary Note in the amount of $4860.04."
On motion of Commissioner King the resolution was approved as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (5) Nays: (0) tayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 1254.

The following petitions were presented:
For sanitary sewer on the East ten acres of West forty acres of South 1/2
of S. E. 1/4, Section 23, Township 14, nange 3, West, City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas. Referred to City vianager.
Petition to include within the City limits Lots 1 to 9; 13 to 16; 19 to 24,
Upper Mill Heights.'Referred-to City Planning Commission.
Petition for sidewalk on East side of Second Street from Prescott Avenue to
Crawford Avenue. Referred to City Manager.
Petition from Chamber of Commerce for off-street parking.
Referred to City kanager to figure costs and other data and report.
Electrical Bond presented from Edward Arthur Layton. On motion of Com-
missioner Cobb approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
City Manager brought up the matter of salary increa es. Commissioners
auttorized him to make an approximate 5% increase for all City Employees, except
Department heads, effective October 1, 1951.
Appraisers reports were filed for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers
'vumbered 260, 261, 262, 263 and 264. Commissioner Price moved that reports
be ac;epted and that City Clerk be instructed to give notice in the official City paper
of Special Meeting to be held konday, October 22, 1951 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. at
which time re...orts willbe taken up and acted on by the Board of Commissioners. Motion
• adopted.
On motion of Commissioner trice the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
