Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 24, 1951. Meeting
wascalled to order by Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey,
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 17, 1951 were read and ap-
proved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with the H. J. Taylor Construction Company for
the construction of certain curbing, guttering and grading improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes
to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." Ordinance was
referred to the Board of Commissioners.

prescribing limitations as to habitation and maintenance of house -car trailer,
and sanitary requirements of the City of Galina, Kansas, amending Section 25-102
Paragraph No. 2 and Section 25-105 Paragraph 3 (a) and Section 25-105 Paragraph (b),
Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1948, and repealing the said sections
and paragraphs." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Barcafer the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Ramsey, Barcafer, Cobb, ling and Price (5) Nays: (0) mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-560.
Application for Cereal Malt .Beverage License was presented from Bill Quinley,
d/b/a "The Corral" at 121 South Fifth Street. Commissioner Barcafer moved
that application be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. •
The following Mausoleum Deeds were presented:
Sale of Companion Crypt "A" Section 1, to Myron Schindler
Sale of Crypts Numbered 449 and 450 to L. H. Schweiter
Commissioner Price moved that same be approved and Mayor authorized to sign.
Motionadopted.
Petition was presented for the paving of alley first east of Fifth c1treet from
Iron Avenue north 225 feet more or less to the existing brick pavement. Referred to
City Manager.
The following petitions were presented and referred to the City Planning
Commission:
Petition from Tom H. Parry to vacate alley in Block 5, North Park Addition.
Petition from Vern Peatling to rezone to Light Industrial District "F", Lots
10, 12, 14 and 16, in Block 11, Pacific Addition.
Mayor appointed Rudolph Barta as a member of the Salina Public Library Board,
to fill vacancy caused by the resignation of Rev. Robert Steiger, who resigned because
of leaving the City. Commissioner King moved that appointment be con-
firmed by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Onmotion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. •
