• COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tothe paving and grading of Twelfth Street from the North line of Lincoln
Avenue to the South line of Grand Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer,
Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Acting Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1236.

relating to the curbing, guttering, and. ::grad-ing'.of Rahm Street from the west line of
Front Street tothe center line of Third Street."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution w as adopted as read and on

Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Acting Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1237.

approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1238.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 18, 1)51. Meeting was
called to order by Acting kayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner
Ramsey absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 11, ;951 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of
Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District No. 265, and providing
for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer Dis-
trict Number 265 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and
for the levying of special assessments against the property insaid district for the
payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the

cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

Petition was presented to limit parking on Fifth Street between Walnut
Street and Mulberry Street. Ordinance introduced for first reading.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
regulating and limiting the time of parking of vehicles on a part of a certain
street in the City of Salina and providing a penalty for the violation thereof."
Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was presented from Curtis McDaniel
Action on same withheld until June 25, 1951.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $75.00, for the perpetual care of the North
one-half of Lot 312 Block "C" in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery was presented from Clara
F. Hine. Commissioner King moved to accept. Carried.
Petition was filed for curbing, guttering and paving Crawford Avenue from
Fourth Street to Front Street. Referred to City kanager.
City Engineer filed the following estimates to H. J. Taylor Construction
Final Estimate Job 273, Lateral Sewer 26.4
Partial Estimate, Job 268, Curb,Gutter and Paving
On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Motion adopted.
City Engineer filed the following estimate to Salina Crane and Shovel
Partial Estimate, Job 272, Lateral Sewers
On motion of Commissioner Price estimate was approved by the Board of Com-
missioners. Motionadopted.
City Engineer filed Partial Estimate Number 1, in the amount of $13,328.00
to H. J. Taylor Construction Company, for curbing, guttering and paving improvements
provided for in Ordinances Numbered 5543 and 5514, (Known as Engineer Job Number 271.)
Commissioner Price moved that Estimate be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Notion a dopted.
City Engineer filed Final Estimate on Job 268, curbing, guttering and paving.
Approved by Commissioner Price. kotionadopted.
City Manager reported on the following petitions:
guttering and paving 600 Block on West Grand, between Eleventh
and Twelfth Street.
