Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 11, 1951. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commission-
ers Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner
Ramsey absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 4s 1951 and Special Meeting
of June 4. 1951 were read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for gecond..reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tothe paving and grading of Kirwrin Avenue from the West line of Pershing
Street to the East line of Funston Street. it
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Acting
• Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1229.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving and grading of Eleventh .Street from the North line of Wilson
Street to the North line of Republic Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1230.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: 'tA resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Larson Street from the South line
of Cloud Avenue toche North line of Charlotte Avenue."
• On motion of Commissioner King the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Bar-
cafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1231.

relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Gebhart Street from the South
line of Cloud Avenue tothe North line of Charlotte Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Ways: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Act-
ing Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1232.

relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Fourth Street from the South line
of Cloud Avenue to the South line of Connecticut Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent. Act-
ing Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1233•

Avenue from the East line of Simmons Street tothe Viest line of Fourth Street."

Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1231.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tothe curbing, guttering and grading of Cloud Avenue from the nest line
of Simmons Street tothe yYest line of the Union Pacific Railroad Righ -of-Way."
On motion of Commissioner Cobb the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ramsey absent.
A.ting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1235.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the construction, development and installation of a certain storm
sewer and conduit in the City of Salina, providing for the preparation of plans
and specifications therefor, the filing of a detailed estimate of cost thereof and
for the payment of the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, King and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Ramsey absent. Acting &payor approved the ordinance and it is Lumbered 5564.
With regard to extending Parking deter time on Santa Fe Avenue on Satur-
day evenings. City &tanager reported he was waiting to hear from the Chamber of
Commerce.
Petition was presented from Ed Pulec to vacate University Street from
west side of Broadway west to Dry Creek. Referred to City Planning and
Zoning Commission.
A petition was presented to limit parking in the 200 Block on South Fifth
Street (from Walnut to Mulberry). Commissioner King made motion to place
on agenda for consideration June 18th, 1951, Carried.
City Manager recommended ordinance for Lateral Sewer
Block 7, Sunrise Addition.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of
Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 265, and
providing for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District Number 265 so created, and providing for the payment of the cost
thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said
district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of
bonds to pay the cost thereof." Ordinande was referred to the Board of
Commissioners.
City Manager recommended Resolution for the following petitions.:'
Curb and gutter Ellsworth from Norton to Roach.
Curb and gutter Norton from Minneapolis to Ellsworth.
Paving Twelfth Street from Lincoln to Grand.
Curb and gutter Rahm from Front to Third.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving and grading of Twelfth Street from the North line of
Lincoln .Avenue to the South line of Grand Avenue." Resolution was. referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tot he curbing, guttering and grading of Rahm Street from the west line
of Front Street to the center line of Third Street." Resolution was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Norton Street from the North
line of kinneapolis Avenue to the North line of rllsworth Avenue." Resolution
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Ellsworth Avenue from the East
line of Norton Street tothe West line of Roach Street." Resolution was
referred to the Board of Commissioners.
