04-02-1951 MinutesCOM11ISSIONhRS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING • COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. APRIL 2, 1951 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 2, 1951. Meeting was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of Iriarch 26, 1951 were read and ap- proved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the vacation and abandonment of certain streets, drives, alleys, rights and easements of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5547. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance • ratifying and confirming the contract of Busboom and Rauh for the building of an Aaministration Building at the Salina Municipal Airport for the City of Salina, Kdnsas. On motion of Commissioner Z�tephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5548. Petition was presented from City Planning Commission for the rezoning of a tract of land in HLock 11, Leavenworth Addition from "Alt Residential to "C" Com- mercial. Referred to City Manager. Petition was presented for the curbing and guttering of Kennison Road from McAdams Road to Wilson Street. Petition was referred to the City Manager. Concrete Construction Bond was presented from Otis G. Faulkner. On motion of Commissioner Webb approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Gas Fitters Bond presented from E. R. Boyer. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Commissioner Webb moved that City of Salina order 500 copies of Zoning Books. kotion a dopted.
