FEBRUARY 19, 1951
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 19, 1951.
Ldeeting was called to order by Acting ivayor Stephenson, the roll was called and
Commissioners Price, Stephenson and Webb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded.
Commissioners King and Ramsey and City Attorney Clark absent.
The minutes of the Regular keeting of February 12, 1951 were read and
approved as read.
Since information from Salina Building Company had not been filed, City
Limit Ordinance was carried over.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
condemning certain land within t e city limits of the City of Salina for the use of
said City in the construction of maintenance and replacement of a certain lateral
sanitary sewer known as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 255, and fixing a benefit
district therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, Stephenson and Webb (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners King and
Ramsey absent. Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5539.
Proposed amendment to Junk Dealers Ordinance was held over for study.
The following petitions were presented:
For curbing, guttering and paving Grand Avenue from Twelfth Street to
Thirteenth Street. Referred to City Manager.
Vacating ten -foot strip on east and west sides of the 1100 Block on
Tenth Street between Hamilton and Antrim Avenue. Referred to City Manager
to checl and report.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the issuance of Temporary -Notes in the amount of X1530.20 and 35.10.10."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Stephenson, Price and vVebb (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners King and Ramsey absent.
Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1210.
