Meeting was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 29, 1951 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract wit, H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 255, 256, 257, 258, 259 and Main Sewer District "Y" and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost there- of pending issuance and sale of bonds." • On motion of Commissioner ?rice the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5536• An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Section Ten (10) of Ordinance Number 5237, as amended by Ordinance No. 5448, and providing for the repeal of the original of said Section Ten (10) as amended. Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Cloud Avenue from the east line of Ninth Street to the west line of Simmons Street and curbing, guttering and grading of the nort; side of Cloud Avenue from the west line of Highland Avenue to the west line of Simmons Street extended north." On motion of Commissioner Webb the resolution was approved as read and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, and Webb (4) Nays: Stephenson(1) Iuayor approved the Resolution and it is Numbered 1204. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of west side of Highland Avenue in Kraft kanor Addition from the south line of Cloud Avenue to the south line of Char- lotte Street and the curbing, guttering and grading of the east side of Highland Avenue in Kraft hanor Addition from the south line of Cloud Avenue to the north • line of Charlotte Street." On motion of Commissioner Webb the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Webb (4) Nays: Stephenson (1) mayor approved the resolu- tion and it is slumbered 1205. J. E. Hull appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding Taxicab Drivers License. Commissioner Stephenson moved that recommendation of City Manager be accepted. kotionadopted. Petition was presented from Salina Building Company to include Tracts and 2 (lying south of Walnut Street and east of the by-pass, at the west edge Salina, Kansas) within the City limits. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. A petition was presented f rom Gutsch Agency for the curbing and guttering of Ivinneapolis Avenue from Quincy to Norton; and Sunrise Drive from Beloit to Ellsworth; also for Sewer to serve Lots 7 to 20, Block 5 and Lots 10 and 11, Block 3; and Lots 1 to 12 Block 4, Sunrise Addition. Referred to City Manager. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts numbered 249, 250, 251, 252, 273 and 254, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
