Meeting was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was calledand Commissioners King, Price, Ramsey and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Stephenson absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 15, 1951 were read and approved as read. Commissioner Ramsey moved to approve Building Application Number 2984 for Harry Steele, 928 South Tenth Street. Motion adopted. Commissioner Webb moved to not approve Building Application Number 2980 for Farm Equipment Parts Company, Inc., 509 North Ninth Street, and City Manager to inform him as to wishes of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Letter was received from Salina Transit Company asking for increase in bus fares. Put on the agenda for February 5, 1951 for consideration and action. Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to • the issuance of Temporary Notes in the amount of $1062.95; $639.75 and X8250.73." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey and Webb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Stephenson absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1203. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 254 Resolution Book Number 4. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Webb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Stephenson absent. liayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-524. Payor approved the oz'dinance and it is Numbered A-526. Eight applications for taxicab license presented from Bell Taxi. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried. Eighteen applications for taxicab license presented from Radio Cab. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Hoard of Commissioners. Carried. Two Beer Applications were presented and on motion of Commissioner Ramsey approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried. Petition was presented from C. A. Vieckel to rezone to "B" Residential ti- 'e west side of 1600 and 1700 Blocks on Highland Avenue from Claflin to Cloud. Referred to City Planning Commission. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance prescribing certain standards for the installation of water connections and lead lines, amending Section 6-109, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina 1948, and providing for the repeal of said Section 6-409." A Resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Cloud Avenue from the east line of Ninth Street to the west line of Simmons Street, and curbing, guttering and grading of the north side of Cloud Avenue from the west line of Highland Avenue to the west line of Simmons Street extended north." Resolution was referred to • the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of west side of Highland Avenue in Kraft lianor Addition from the south line of Cloud Avenue to the south line of Charlotte Street and the curbing, guttering and grading of the east side of High- land Avenue in Kraft Lanor Add -tion from the south line of Cloud Avenue to the north line of Charlotte Street." A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution re- lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Simmons Street in Kraft hanor Addition from the south line of Cloud Avenue to the north line of Charlotte Street.'' Resolution was referred to the Board of Commiss._oners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Pershing Street from the north line of Beloit Avenue to the center line of Republic Avenue."
