Meeting was called to order by t'vlayor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price, Ramsey and Stephenson and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Webb absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 8, 1951 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the removal of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas from the "A" Residential District as that district is defined by Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3188 and said ordinance as amended, and for the inclusion of said lands in the "D" Light Industrial District as that district is defined by Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3186 and providing for the proper use thereof." On motion of Commissioner Trice the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had, Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Stephenson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Webb absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5533. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for and requiring the City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Salina to recommend the boundaries of zones or districts into which the City of Salina shall b e divided and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein, for the purpose of regulating and restricting, the location of trade and industries, and the location, erection, alteration and repaid of buildings designed for specific uses, and the user of land within each zone or district; and providing for the submission of a tentative report by said City Planning and Zoning Commission and for public hear- ing thereon, and for the submission of a final report by said City Planning and Zon- ing Commission thereafter." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called a nd the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Stephenson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Webb absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5534. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was -ailed and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Stephenson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Webb absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered k -523 - City Engineer filed plans and specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer • Number 257. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commission- ers. Commissioner Price moved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids to be received up to and including Monday, January 29th, 1951, for the con- struction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers =lumbered 255, 256, 257' and 258"and7�� ' n Sewer "Y". Motionadopted. Four Beur Applications. Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license'granted. Motionadopted. Eight Pool Hall Applications received. Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Petition was presented from Graves 'Truck Line to rezone from "C" Commer- cial to "D" Light Industrial Lots 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, Block 9, Pacific Addition. Referred to City Planning Commission. Letter was presented from City Planni..g Commission recommending to not rezone Lot 1, Block 2, Tucker Park Addition to "C" Commercial. Commissioner Price moved to refer back to Planning Commission for consideration, with letter of explanation from City Manager. MotionLdopted.
