Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 18, 1950. 1keet-
ing was called to order by liayor King, the roll was c alled and Commissioners King,
Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the R:gular iYeeting of December 11, 1950 were read and
approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas, in
the "i" Residential District as that district is defined by Section 4 of urdinaice
Number 3188 and providing for the proper use thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Webb the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: King, Ramsey and Webb (3) Nays: Price and Stephenson (2) layor

approved the ordinance and it is lumbered 5529.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the
City of Salina, precribing the corporate limits of said City and repealing Section
two (2) of ordinance :Dumber 5507."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, Bing, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) 'Layor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5530.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Yiayor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is numbered A-518.
City Engineer filed plans and specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewers
numbered (257 '125d and 25) and 1viain Sewer "Y". On motion of Commissioner Price
approved by the Board of Coimr ssioners.
City iuianager reported on ivatural Soft Water Test.
Commissioner Stephenson made motion to make Test Well in Hamilton area
and report; cost to be approximately X3500.00. Carried.
retition presented from C. H. Smith to rezone from "A" Residential to

"C" Commercial, Lot 1, Block 2, Tucker Park Addition. Referred to City Planning
Commission.
Commissioner Stephenson made motion to allow Salina Transit Company to
change Bus Schedule on Iron Avenue as of January 1, 1951. Carried.
Chas. W. Shaver, Architect, submitted the following Final Estimates
for Fire Station Job:

Gage Plumbing Company 630.00
General Air Conditioning Company $1170:66
id.d-West Plumbing Company $1795.41
Commissioner Price moved to approve above estimates. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of
Salina, ikLnsas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 257, and pro-
viding for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District -.4umber 257, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost
thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said
district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of
bonds to pay the cost thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Com-
missioners.

On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
