DECEMBER 11, 1950 Regular Ivieeting of the Board of Commissioners December 11, 1950• Meeting was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was callee and Commissioners ✓ King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 4, 1950 were read and approved as read. The following petitions were presented: Curbing and guttering Larson Street from Cloud Avenue to Charlotte Avenue. Curbing and guttering Gebhart Street from Cloud Avenue to Charlotte Avenue. Curbing and guttering Cloud Avenue from west line, extended north of Larson Street to the west right-of-way line of Union Pacific Railroad. • Curbing and guttering Charlotte Avenue from Simmons Street to Gebhart Street. Above petitions were referred to the City Manager. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of said City and repealing Section 2 of Ordinance Number 5507." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commis- sioners. No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning from "A" Residential to "B" Residential the East 110 feet of Lot 1, tegether with five feet accreted on the north of said East 110 feet of Lot 1; East 100 feet of South 14 feet of Lot 2; and East 100 feet of North 36 feet of Lot 3, all in Block 1, in Morrison's Replat of Part of Replat of Morrison's Third Addition, east of Tenth Street in the City of Salina, Kansas. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas in the "B" Residential District as that district is defined by Section 4 of Ordinance Num- ber 3188 and providing for the proper use thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board. of Commissioners. City Engineer filed Anal Estimate in the amount of 17,J76.78 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for Job Number 264. Approved by Commissioner Price. Carried. City Engineer filed Partial Estimate in the amount of $3208.41 to H.J. • Taylor Construction Company for Job Number 268. Approved by Commissioner Price. Carried. City Engineer filed Final Estimate of Cost for curbing, guttering and/or paving improvements provided for in Ordinances Numbered 5466 and 5467, known as Job Number 264. Approved by Commissioner Price. Carried. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to the issuance of Temporary Notes in the amount of $17,076.78 and $3,208.41." On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the resolution was adopted as read and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Layor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1200. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 248 Resolution Book Number 4. Subject of Civilian Defense was discussed by the Board of Commissioners, and referred to the City I-vana er. City Attorney to draw up plans and report January 3, 1951. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk •
